One of the most significant milestones in Kshitij Zaware’s Rotary journey was the establishment of the Rotary Midtown Dialysis Centre, the first Global Grant project undertaken under his leadership as President and Primary Contact.
Driven by a vision to address a critical healthcare need in Ahilyanagar, Kshitij recognized the limited availability of dialysis facilities for patients suffering from chronic kidney ailments. Determined to make quality healthcare more accessible, he spearheaded the planning, execution, and successful implementation of this transformative Global Grant initiative.
Through collaborative efforts and international Rotary partnerships, five state-of-the-art dialysis machines were installed at Maccare Superspeciality Hospital, creating a sustainable healthcare facility dedicated to serving the community. The project was designed with a special focus on economically disadvantaged patients, ensuring that life-saving dialysis treatment could be provided at highly subsidized rates.
More than just a healthcare project, the Rotary Midtown Dialysis Centre stands as a symbol of Rotary’s commitment to humanitarian service, compassion, and sustainable impact. It continues to provide hope, dignity, and improved quality of life to countless patients and families across Ahilyanagar and surrounding rural regions.
This landmark initiative reflects Kshitij Zaware’s belief that true leadership lies in identifying community needs and creating lasting solutions that transform lives for generations to come.
“Healthcare should never be a privilege reserved for a few. Through the Rotary Midtown Dialysis Centre, we transformed a critical community need into a sustainable lifeline for hundreds of patients and their families.” – Kshitij Zaware
